Vice President Jallow Joins Eid-Ul-Adha Prayers in Farato, Commends President Barrow’s Leadership

 

Vice President of The Gambia, His Excellency Mohammed B.S. Jallow, joined hundreds of worshippers at the Farato praying ground on Wednesday to observe the 2026 Eid-Ul-Adha (Tobaski) prayer.

Following the prayer, Vice President Jallow addressed the national broadcaster GRTS, where he praised President Adama Barrow’s leadership in strengthening the government’s connection with grassroots communities. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to advancing development, peace, and stability across the country.

The Vice President underscored the importance of social cohesion, national unity, and peace, describing them as vital pillars for The Gambia’s progress. His presence at the Farato praying ground highlighted the government’s engagement with citizens during one of the most significant religious occasions in the Muslim calendar.

Eid-Ul-Adha, locally known as Tobaski, is marked by prayers, animal sacrifice, and community gatherings. It serves as a time of reflection, charity, and togetherness, reinforcing values of solidarity and compassion within Gambian society.
