. Sainabou Mbye Demands Public Apology from Amie Kinteh within Seven Days or Face Defamatory Lawsuit

Antouman A. B. Gaye and co, acting on behalf of Gambian businesswomen and influencer Sainabou Mbye, has formally written to Amie Kinteh, Sainabou’s former colleague, to immediately cease and desist from making any further false or defamatory statements against Sainabou Mbye, remove and retract all defamatory statements made Sainabou, and issue a public apology and retraction which must include that the statements Amie Kinteh made against Sainabou Mbye were false.

According to the letter dated 17th December 2025, Antouman A. B. Gaye and Co. stated that on the instruction of their client, Sainabou Mbye that in or around November 2024, she lawfully rented a commercial shop at an annual rent of D100,000 for the purposes of conducting her own business there. Following Amie Kinteh’s representation to their client Sainabou Mbye that she (Amie Kinteh) is experiencing difficulties with her own shop, Sainabou Mbye permitted Amie Kinteh to use her (Sainabou’s) own shop in good faith, and upon the rent falling due in 2025, when client Sainabou contacted Amie Kinteh regarding payment, Kinteh began asserting incorrect statements that she only occupied the shop since July.

Following the disagreement, Kinteh began making public and private statements concerning Sainabou Mbye, which were false, malicious, and defamatory.

The Antouman A. B. Gaye legal practitioners continued narrating that on or around November 2025, or thereabout, Amie Kinteh made and published statements on the social media platform TikTok to an audience exceeding fifteen thousand viewers, knowing and recklessly amplifying the reach and harm of the defamatory statements including the allegations of murder, cult and ritual practices, sexual immorality and infidelity, fraud and dishonesty, political manipulation, and attack her religious integrity.
