Implementation of Executive Directive on Residence Permit Fee Adjustment for Nigerians and Guineans

In line with a Ministerial Directive issued on 14th July 2025 by the Ministry of Interior regarding the principle of reciprocity in residence permit fees for nationals of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Guinea-Conakry, the Gambia Immigration Department (GID) hereby informs the public that, effective immediately, the fee for the issuance of a residence permit to Nigerian and Guinean nationals is fixed at seven hundred and fifty dalasi (D750).

An internal memorandum implementing this directive has been circulated to all Regional Immigration Commands, particularly staff operating the Gambia Biometric Identification System (GAMBIS), to ensure prompt execution and full compliance.

The GID, under the leadership of Director General Ebrima Mboob, reiterates its commitment to due diligence, efficient service delivery, and robust documentation processes in safeguarding national interests and security.
