GFF Division One League:Madina United on track while Real De Banjul Drops points

Medina United FC returned to winning ways with a convincing 2-0 victory over Fortune FC in the Gambia Football Federation Division One League, ending a five-match winless streak.

Adama Kanteh opened the scoring on the half-hour mark, timing his run perfectly to meet a fine cross from Landing Jatta and heading the ball in off the post. Medina United doubled their advantage in the 56th minute when Abdou Jarju threaded a well-weighted pass to Omar Bojang, who calmly slotted home to seal all three points after four consecutive defeats.

Elsewhere, defending champions Real De Banjul were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against ten-man Samger FC. Abass Camara had given Samger the lead before Sulayman Jammeh struck an 83rd-minute equaliser to rescue a point for Real De Banjul.

BST Galaxy FC edged Team Rhino FC 1-0, with Sheriff Bah capping an outstanding individual performance by scoring the decisive goal.

League leaders Gambia Ports Authority FC were held to a goalless draw by Greater Tomorrow FC, as both sides shared the spoils in a tightly contested encounter.
