Buba Jallow, also known by his nickname “Buba J,” has made an appearance at the Kanifing Court to face charges for his alleged involvement in the deadly stabbing of Ebou Njie, a well-respected electrician from the Latrikunda German neighborhood.
The tragic incident, which sent shockwaves through the community, occurred during a confrontation that resulted in Njie being fatally stabbed. Following an extensive police investigation, it was discovered that the weapon used in the attack belonged to a friend of Jallow’s, who is accused of handing it over to Jallow after the incident.
As Jallow entered the court premises, reporters and observers were drawn to the highly-publicized case. Tensions were high as Jallow directed insults at journalists and members of the public present for the proceedings.
The case will continue over the next few weeks, as authorities work to gather additional evidence while the community eagerly awaits justice for the heartbreaking loss of Njie.
