President Donald Trump has signed a new proclamation expanding US travel restrictions to 39 countries, up from 19, newly affecting several West African states, including The Gambia and its neighbours Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Nigeria and Sierra Leone.
