Police intercepts 24 suspected irregular migrants in Pirang

 

The West Regional Task Force intercepted twenty-four suspected irregular migrants during an operation at the Pirang beach area on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

The operation was intelligence-led and supported by information from community members.

The individuals arrested included Gambians and foreign nationals and are currently in custody for screening and further action.

Members of the public are encouraged to report suspicious activities to the nearest police station or call 9968885.

The Gambia Police Force remains committed to combating irregular migration and safeguarding lives and communities.
