Hearts of Sinchu FC clinched the Sinchu Alagie Sports Committee Nawettan League title after edging past One Love FC 4–2 in a dramatic post-match penalty shootout, following a goalless draw at the end of regulation time.
The final was tightly contested, with Hearts of Sinchu asserting dominance throughout normal time but failing to convert their superiority into goals. One Love FC, meanwhile, remained resilient and disciplined, forcing the match to be decided from the spot.
Goalkeeper Dawda Secka emerged as the hero of the day. The Hearts of Sinchu netminder saved two penalties in the shootout before calmly stepping up to score the decisive winning kick, sealing a memorable victory for his side.
As champions, Hearts of Sinchu FC were rewarded with a giant trophy, gold medals, and a cash prize of D50,000. Runners-up One Love FC received D40,000 in prize money along with silver medals in recognition of their impressive campaign.
The victory crowns a strong Nawettan League outing for Hearts of Sinchu FC, whose consistency and control throughout the final ultimately earned them the coveted title.
