In fulfilment of its promise to the people of Nyofelleh, the Nyofelleh Youth Association, under the leadership of Binta Ceesay, has donated D20,000 to the Nyofelleh Youth and Sports Committee to support the Nyofelleh Football Field Project.
The donation follows the 5th edition of the Nyofelleh Inter-Kabilo Athletics Championship, where the Youth Association promised that proceeds from the championship would be used to support the development of the football field.
The presentation was witnessed by members of the Nyofelleh Youth Association and the Nyofelleh Youth and Sports Committee. The money was received by the President of the Sports Committee, Buba Jambang, on behalf of the committee.
Speaking after receiving the donation, President Buba Jambang thanked the Nyofelleh Youth Association and its leadership for fulfilling their promise and supporting the development of sports in the community.
He called on natives and residents of Nyofelleh to continue supporting the youths and contribute towards the successful completion of work at the newly established Mansa Garden Football Field.
President Jambang also appealed to individuals, companies and philanthropists to support the project, particularly in fencing and other developments needed at the football field.
