Popular Gambian singer Jerreh Jallow, widely known as Jizzle, accompanied by his DJ, Sang J Gomez, recently visited the Honorable Abdoulie Jobe, Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, at his office in Banjul.
The purpose of the visit was for Jizzle to explore opportunities for collaboration with the Ministry and its affiliated institutions in an effort to elevate The Gambia’s music industry.
During the meeting, Jizzle expressed his commitment to promoting The Gambia on the global stage through his music tours, thereby marketing the country as a prime tourist destination.
“I am eager to raise the Gambia’s flag higher through my musical tours, and I would love to collaborate with the Ministry to achieve this,” he said. “I have several initiatives planned for this year, and I look forward to the Ministry’s support.”
In response, Minister Abdoulie Jobe thanked Jizzle for his visit and assured him of the government’s backing through his Ministry in the promotion of The Gambia’s tourism sector, especially through music.
“You are always welcome at the Ministry, and I can assure you that we will support you in any way we can. You are doing great work, and I encourage you to keep up the positive momentum,” Minister Jobe said.
