Gainako Reports that a Group of Activists were Arrested after Protesting at the July 22nd Arch with Placards Demanding that the Government Address the Ferry Service Crisis on April 21st, 2024.

Among those arrested were Marr Nyang, the Executive Director of Gambia Participates, and Hon Omar “Champion” Cham, the Speaker of the National Youth Parliament. Their mobile phones are currently unreachable, and it is believed that they are being interrogated by the police.
