Banjul Executive Coordinator and stakeholders embark on Sensitization Tour on Road Safety Around KG5-Park

 

The Office of the Executive Coordinator of Banjul, Honorable Ebrima Jawo, on Wednesday, conducted a sensitization tour around the KG5-Park area in partnership with the Banjul Sports Committee, Physical Planning, and Al-port Banjul.

The tour aimed at engaging road vendors on the importance of road safety and creating safer zones to reduce congestion and prevent accidents. During the exercise, Hon. Jawo highlighted designated safety zones for vendors and stressed the need to ensure smooth traffic flow while safeguarding livelihoods.

“We are working tirelessly with Physical Planning and Al-port to identify suitable locations where vendors can sell freely without harm or danger,” Hon. Jawo assured.

In his concluding remarks, he urged the people of Banjul to prioritize safety, especially as construction works continue around KG5-Park with support from the Office of the President.
