Yunus English School Celebrates 10th Graduation Ceremony with Distinguished Guests

Yunus English School celebrated its 10th graduation ceremony at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara Conference Hall. The event was a grand affair, attended by an esteemed gathering, with Honourable Mohamadou Ceesay, Chairman of the Basse Area Council, serving as the chief guest of honor.

In his address, Honourable Ceesay commended the students for their hard work and perseverance. “This is a day of great joy and pride for all of you,” he said. “Your achievements are a testament to your dedication and the support of your families and teachers. As you move forward, remember to use your education to make a positive impact on your communities.”

This year’s ceremony celebrated the graduation of a diverse group of students: 435 from grade 12, 130 from grade 9, 200 from grade 6, and 90 from nursery. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and pride, reflecting the collective effort of students, teachers, and families.

The ceremony also featured a speech by Mr. Lamin Faal, the General Manager of the three Yunus English Schools located in Busumbala, Sare Pateh, and Kotu. Addressing the graduates, Mr. Faal highlighted their resilience and commitment. “Today, we celebrate not just your academic success, but also the determination and character you have shown throughout your journey at Yunus English School,” he said. “We are confident that you will continue to excel and contribute positively to society.”

Principal Lamin Tabally delivered remarks emphasizing the school’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. He congratulated the graduates on their achievements and encouraged them to pursue their goals with determination and integrity.

Guest speaker Mr. Lahamy Gumaneh also shared his insights, inspiring the graduates to strive for excellence in all their future endeavors. “Your education is the foundation for your future. Use it wisely and strive to make a difference,” he said.

The event concluded with a ceremonial procession and a reception, allowing graduates and their families to celebrate this significant milestone together. The 10th graduation ceremony of Yunus English School stands as a testament to the school’s dedication to fostering academic excellence and empowering the next generation.
