Saikou Camara, Administrative Secretary for Media and Communications of the United Democratic Party (UDP), has challenged Information Minister Dr. Ismaila Ceesay to a public debate following recent remarks made on Coffee Time with Peter Gomez.
The exchange follows Camara’s article questioning the government’s claim of creating 163,000 jobs. During the programme, Dr. Ceesay allegedly dismissed the author of the article, describing such claims as either dishonest or ignorant.
In response, Camara clarified that he is the author of the article and rejected what he described as personal insults. He instead called for a structured public debate focused on facts and policy rather than personal attacks.
Camara said he is willing to debate Dr. Ceesay on any topic of his choice, at any time, platform, and even language, emphasizing his readiness to engage on substance rather than rhetoric.
