UDP acknowledges Rohey Malick Lowe’s water project for women

 

The United Democtratic Party has commended the Mayor of Banjul City, Rohey Malick Lowe, for successfully launching the “Water for Women in The Gambia” project aimed at constructing 17 community boreholes across the Gambia.

In a public announcement on Friday, the party said: “The UDP notes with pride that this transformative initiative was initiated by UDP Mayor of Banjul, Hon. Rohey Malick Lowe Saidykhan, whose leadership and commitment to women’s empowerment, community development, and social justice gave rise to this important intervention.”

The party recognizes what it calls ”far-reaching impact the initiative is expected to make, specifically highlighting women’s livelihood and dignity, protection of families from waterborne diseases and strengthening communities for sustainable development.
