Travelers lament unnecessary delay at ferry ticket selling point.

Hundreds of travelers Crossing the Banjul- Barra crossing point were not happy with slow access to the ferry ticket selling point at the Banjul Ferry Terminal.
As of mid-day this afternoon, a multitude of travelers waited in a long queue before they would be able to buy their tickets.
” It’s very slow today, normally it’s fast but the service is not conducive today,” Filly Secka said.
Alhagie Sering Nyang who is traveling to to a funeral expressed dismay and urged authorities at the ferry terminal to have contingency plans in case of a breakdown of the equipment.
” The cashier is struggling with the machine. It is taking her time before she will be able to print a ticket” he said.
Several other travelers told this medium that only one ticket-selling point is operating out of the three outlets at the Banjul Ferry Terminal this Saturday.
“The queue is long, it’s not safe for us too because pickpocketers might use the opportunity to steal from people, “Fatou Njie said
” Print the tickets and I help you to sell,” a ferry terminal staff said to the lady cashier on duty.
