The Kanifing Municipal Council, led by His Worship Talib Ahmed Bensouda, is pleased to announce the start of the 300 million Dalasi Kanifing Municipal Roads Network Project (KMRNP). The project has commenced with the essential phase of drainage construction in the Old Bakau / Cape Point Ward. However, the contractor, Longjian Road and Bridges Company is currently facing challenges due to some compounds’ toilet systems being directly connected to the existing drainage system. This connection is obstructing the progress of the ongoing construction work and hindering its effectiveness. In response to these challenges, the Council urgently appeals to all members of the Bakau community to cooperate by disconnecting their toilets from the drainage system. This action is crucial to facilitate the smooth execution of the project and ensure its timely completion for the benefit of all residents. The Council emphasizes the importance of community collaboration in infrastructure development projects and urges residents to support the Council’s efforts for the betterment of Bakau and its surroundings.
