Tailors lost valuables in last night’s Brikama Market fire outbreak.

 

A sudden fire outbreak at the Brikama Market last night destroyed valuables worth tens of thousands.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred near the Brikama Red Cross Branch around 10 pm after most of the tailors had already gone home.

At the time of gathering this information, three tailoring workshops were confirmed to have been affected by the inferno. However, the total monetary value of the disaster is not immediately known.

The tailors affected are Nfamara Saho, Friday Touray, and Muhammed Touray this medium can confirm.

” I lost four big sewing machines and my electricity meter with other materials,” said Muhammed,d Touray one of the fire victims.

Nfamara Saho who is also affected told this medium that there was an electric fault at his neighbor’s workshop, Muhammed Touray which he said sparked the fire outbreak.

” I don’t know the monetary value of the equipment damaged in the shop right now unless I check later, “the devastated Saho said in an emotional voice.

Personnel of the Brikama Fire Service were quick to prevent the fire from further spreading to other workshops.

Fire outbreaks are common in Brikama Market largely due to electric faults.
