Strengthening Coordination for Improved Outcomes: Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy Hosts Intra-Sectoral Retreat

 

Today, the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy held its Q1 Intra-Sectoral Retreat with line institutions Gamtel, Gamcel, GICTA, and GAMPOST AND the WARDIP Gambia Program. This important gathering forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance coordination, align sectoral programs, and drive improved outcomes.
Speaking at the retreat, the Honorable Minister for Communications and Digital Economy underscored the significance of the retreat, emphasizing that it provides a valuable platform to:
constructively review the implementation of programs during 2024.
Address pressing policy matters and sectoral challenges.
Devise actionable solutions to ensure the Ministry and its agencies effectively deliver on their mandates.
The Minister also highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration and synergy between the Ministry and its line institutions to ensure a unified approach toward achieving the government’s digital transformation goals. He stressed that such retreats are critical for promoting innovation, enhancing service delivery, and addressing sectoral challenges in a sustainable and citizen-focused manner.
The Ministry remains committed to strengthening partnerships, improving coordination, and building a resilient communications sector capable of driving economic growth and digital inclusion for all.
