OPERATION CLEAR THE ROADS SECOND PHASE COMMENCES IN COASTAL ROAD AREAS

Date: March 20, 2024

The second phase of Operation Clear Public Roads and Highways, focused on monitoring and enforcing regulations, has commenced in Coastal Road, Yundum market, and surrounding areas with full force. This phase aims to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain the areas that have been cleared of temporary and permanent structures, as well as vendors occupying public spaces.

Following the clearing and demolition phase, it is crucial to strategize ways to maintain public utilities for the common good. This is the underlying objective of the operation.

The Task Force urges all Gambians to assist in preserving our public spaces for general use. Together, we can contribute to the advancement and development of our nation.

Once again, the public is reminded that monitoring and enforcement will continue as part of Operation Clear the Roads in all previously cleared locations from the first phase. Therefore, everyone is required to comply with the directives of the operation.
