President Bola Tinubu’s government says it will not relent, as Niger State closes all basic and secondary boarding schools because of the threat of further attacks.
But with communities exposed, security forces overstretched and more than a decade of mass abductions showing no sign of slowing, many are now asking whether Nigeria has the capacity to confront this crisis alone, especially after United States President Donald Trump issued a forceful warning that Washington could intervene if Abuja fails to protect its citizens.
