A power outage on Wednesday briefly disrupted an event at the National People’s Party (NPP) headquarters in Bundung as President Adama Barrow and members of his cabinet arrived for an official engagement.
Witnesses said it took almost 20 minutes for electricity to be restored through a generator, causing a temporary delay.
The moment sparked reactions on social media, with many users expressing frustration over ongoing power challenges in the country.
President Barrow was attending a ceremony where the NPP announced that more than 800 people had defected from various political parties to join the ruling party.
The National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC) has not issued a statement on the incident.
