Multiverse mining, Lasaco, Oando, others emerge as top stocks to watch this week

For the second consecutive week, the Nigerian equities market raked in profit running into trillions of Naira as investors gained N1.812 trillion profit.at the close of business.

The capital market opened for four days last week due to the Eid-El-Kabir holidays declared by the Federal Government.

The market recorded gains in all four trading sessions.

The market capitalisation increased to N72.2 trillion from the N70.4 trillion recorded the previous week.

Similarly, the All-Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 2.57% to close the week at 114,616.75 points from the 111,742.01 points recorded the previous week.

The bullish run was propelled by strong showing from stocks like Oando Plc, Lasaco Assurance Plc and Multiverse Mining And Exploration Plc to secure their places amongst the top ten best-performing stocks last week, positioning themselves as stocks to watch in the new week.

OANDO • 56.85 ▴ 5.15 (9.96%)

The current share price of Oando Plc (OANDO) is N56.85. OANDO closed its last trading day (Thursday, June 5, 2025) at N56.85 per share on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX), recording a 10% gain over its previous closing price of N51.70. Oando began the year with a share price of N66.00 but has since lost 13.9% off that price valuation, ranking it 132nd on the NGX in terms of year-to-date performance. Shareholders’ fears may be allayed by the 32% increase of OANDO share price since May 8th, which is 10th best on NGX.

Lasaco began the year with a share price of N3.09 and has since gained 1.94% on that price valuation, ranking it 81st on the NGX in terms of year-to-date performance. Shareholders can be optimistic about LASACO knowing the stock has accrued 31% over the past four-week period alone—12th best on NGX.
