The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Facebook Thursday night it had recovered the body of Robert “RJ” Leonard, a rookie deputy with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, from the Tennessee River and his remains were being transported to the Knoxville Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
