Mamour M. Mbenga, widely known as Kifa Barham, has been admitted to West Field Clinic after sustaining injuries in a serious motorcycle accident along the Sukuta–Brusubi Highway on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
The youth leader, media practitioner, sports entrepreneur, and health and wellness specialist was reportedly returning from an injury rehabilitation session with local footballers when the motorcycle he was riding on was struck by a red BMW at approximately 2:00 p.m.
Barham and young footballer Bubacarr Jobe, who was also on the motorcycle, were first rushed to Sukuta Health Centre before being transferred to West Field Clinic for further medical evaluation and treatment.
Barham suffered significant soft-tissue injuries affecting his shoulder, hip, and ankle, along with extensive bruising. He is currently experiencing difficulty walking due to severe pain and remains under close medical observation. Doctors have recommended several weeks of rest, medication, and physiotherapy to support his recovery.
Jobe was treated for minor injuries and discharged, with medical officials confirming he is expected to make a full recovery.
The driver of the BMW, identified as Amadou, an IT Manager at Banjul International Airport, reportedly remained at the scene, assisted in transporting the injured to the hospital, and has accepted responsibility for covering their medical expenses while cooperating with ongoing investigations.
Barham’s family has expressed gratitude for the swift emergency response and public support, while also requesting privacy as he continues his recovery process.
Although the injuries are not considered life-threatening, Barham is expected to undergo a period of rehabilitation before resuming his normal activities.
