IGP Sanyang Visit GRC for Collaborating Interm of Emergencies with the Police

The Inspector General of the Gambia Police Force, Abdoulie Sanyang, with some senior management members, on Tuesday, 6th January 2024, visited the Emergency call center for Gambia Red Cross in Kanifing.
The purpose of the visit was to obtain a perception of the readiness of the Gambia Red Cross in terms of emergencies and explore the chance of joining hands with the Gambia Police Force.
The Gambia Police Force maintains law and order, prevents crime, and protects citizens. They have the tasks of upholding the rule of law, investigating crimes, apprehending suspects, and ensuring the community’s safety.
Additionally, they play a crucial role in traffic management, crowd control, and assisting with emergencies. The police force must act with integrity, professionalism, and respect for human rights while carrying out their duties.
Their main objective is to serve and protect the people of Gambia, uphold justice, and contribute to a safe and peaceful society.
