GPF Ladies hold TMT FC to goaless draw in intense league clash

The Gambia Police Force Female Football Team played out a hard-fought 0–0 draw against TMT FC in Week Seven of the GFF Women’s Division One League on Tuesday, February 2, 2026, at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Yundum.

In a closely contested encounter, the GPF Ladies, under the guidance of Coach Mariama Bom Sowe, displayed resilience, discipline, and attacking intent but were ultimately denied by an impressive goalkeeping performance from the opposition.

GPF created several promising opportunities in the first half, with Isatou Jallow coming closest after finding space inside the box. However, her effort was expertly dealt with by the TMT goalkeeper to keep the scoreline level.

The intensity continued in the second half as GPF pushed for a breakthrough. Metta Sanneh’s well-struck free kick was smartly parried away at full stretch, while another attempt from Isatou Jallow was again saved, drawing loud applause from the fans in attendance.

Both sides remained resolute defensively, and despite sustained pressure from GPF in the closing stages, the match ended in a goalless draw. The result sees GPF Ladies earn a valuable point and maintain a strong position in the league standings.

The Gambia Police Force Sports Unit and Police Leadership extend their appreciation to all supporters for their continued encouragement and support. The team remains focused and determined as they push forward in the competition.
