The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) has facilitated the assisted voluntary removal of 85 non-Gambian migrants through the Nyamanari Border Post.
The group, all Malian nationals, comprised 65 adult males, 17 females, and 2 minors. They were earlier intercepted on April 5 and 6, 2026, at Sinchu Sorri and Mandinaba as part of efforts to disrupt irregular migration routes.
The operation was carried out by GID’s Border Patrol and Migration Management units, reflecting the department’s continued commitment to effective migration management, border security, and the promotion of lawful travel.
