Gambia to Launch First National Land Policy 2025 to 2035

Land issues that continue to cause serious disputes among families, communities, government institutions and real estate brokers are now being tackled through the first ever National Land Policy (NLP) 2025 to 2035, which is set to be launched by the Ministry of Lands, Regional Government and Religious Affairs.

The policy document, made up of seven chapters, provides a national framework to manage land more effectively and prevent future conflicts.

It is described as a comprehensive guide that aims to bring an end to land related disputes by ensuring proper mechanisms are put in place across the country.
