Flooding Devastates Homes in Sinchu Baliya Following Heavy Rainfall

Heavy rains late last night led to severe flooding in the Sinchu Baliya community, leaving many families struggling to cope with the damage. The flooding, caused by hours of continuous rainfall, has destroyed homes and personal belongings, affecting the lives of numerous residents in the area.
Speaking to *The New Global*, Omar Jome, a resident of Sinchu Baliya, shared the extent of the damage: *”The rainwater entered our houses and destroyed many materials. We are now left to pick up the pieces, unsure of where to turn next.”* Jome’s account reflects the sense of loss and uncertainty felt by many in the community, who now face the daunting task of recovering from this disaster.
Residents report that the flooding not only damaged household items but also caused disruptions in daily life. Many homes were inundated, and families are working to salvage whatever they can from the wreckage. The affected families are appealing for assistance as they face this difficult situation.
Local authorities have yet to assess the full extent of the damage, but with rainy conditions expected to continue, the community remains on edge. Sinchu Baliya residents are calling for immediate intervention to prevent further losses and to address the flood risks in the area.
