Financial Crimes Investigators Question Wally Seck in Ongoing Inquiry

By: The Fatu Network News Desk

Wally Seck is being questioned today by Senegal’s financial crimes investigators as part of an inquiry launched by a report from CENTIF, Senegal’s financial intelligence unit, which identified suspicious transactions worth about 5.5 billion CFA francs, around 10 million US dollars, involving several individuals and companies.

This phase of the investigation centres on a vehicle transaction linked to Amadou Sall, son of former president Macky Sall, in which Seck is alleged to have received 210 million CFA francs, around 370,000 US dollars, an amount he later deposited to obtain provisional release.

He is already indicted on charges of criminal association and money laundering, and today’s hearing examines his role within the wider case as investigators continue their questioning.
