Ex-President Jammeh’s former foreign minister dies

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad has announced the death of Hon. Moussa Gibril Bala Gaye, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of The Gambia.

Hon. Gaye served as Foreign Affairs Minister in 2005, during which time he played a key role in advancing The Gambia’s foreign policy and strengthening diplomatic relations.

He also previously served as Minister of Finance and had a distinguished career as an international civil servant, economist, banker and diplomat.

Throughout his public service, Hon. Gaye was widely regarded for his commitment to national development and for representing The Gambia on the international stage with dedication and professionalism.

The Ministry expressed its deepest condolences to his family, friends and former colleagues.

May Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and give his family the strength to bear this loss.
