Curbing Drug abuse & trafficking:DLEAG Boss continues tour in the Kombos

 

On the seventh day of his maiden nationwide familiarisation DG Ceesay and his entourage made a visit to the land allocated to the Agency by the Village Development Committee of Sanyang for the construction of a field office and residence for staff.

Equally he made a stopover at and spot visit to Gunjur, Sanyang, Brusubi, Wellingara, Banjul International Airport and Banjulinding respectively, where he and his team had engagements and meetings with personnel of the Agency and other sister security services posted at those stations.

Thereafter, DG and his entourage had a meeting with the Chiefs, Alkalos, Imams, ward Councillors, Youth representatives, women groups and Council of elders at Gunjur, Brusubi and Banjulinding respectively.

Furthermore, DG and his team had a meeting with personnel of the Agency and sister security forces at the Banjul International Airport where the Manager of both Air Maroc and Brussels Airline were in present, and they assured DG that, they are ready to work with the Agency in abating drugs and related transnational organized crimes.

Various speakers from Gunjur, Brusubi and Banjulinding both commended DG and his entourage for the visit which is timely. They equally assured him of their readiness to work with the Agency in abating drugs and related activities.

DG Ceesay in his part thanked them for the tumultuous welcome and wonderful reception, good work that they have been doing as well as their commitment and dedication to the crusade on drug abuse, illicit drug trafficking and related transnational organized crime.
