Brikama United Football Club has announced the signing of attacking midfielder Dembo Danjo from Real de Banjul FC ahead of the upcoming GFF Division One season.
Danjo joined Real de Banjul last season after an impressive showing during the Brikama Sports Committee summer Nawettan, but struggled to secure playing time as he was not part of head coach Ebrima Jatta’s plans.
With preparations intensifying for the new league campaign, Brikama United confirmed on Monday that the player has signed a permanent deal.
“Brikama United Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Dembo Danjo from Real de Banjul FC on a permanent deal, with the player committing his future to the club on a three-year contract,” the club said in a statement.
The club described Danjo as a young and creative attacking midfielder who can also operate on the wings, adding that his technical ability, vision, and attacking flair are expected to strengthen the squad.
The signing follows another outstanding performance by the player during the recent summer Nawettan season, where he played a key role in guiding Misira United to the final of the Brikama Sports Committee Knockout, a display that earned him a move back into Division One football.
