Bensouda’s UMC Extends Free Eye Care Outreach to LRR, CRR and NBR

The United Movement for Change, led by KMC Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda, has organised a large scale free eye testing and eyewear dispensary in Jarra Soma, targeting residents with eyesight complications across the Lower River Region and Central River Region South.

Twenty five eye specialists are providing free tests to hundreds of residents, with more than 175 vulnerable beneficiaries receiving free eyewear valued at over D3 million and manufactured in the United States. Councillor Matty Kanyi and Salimatou Jallow Bensouda attended the event.

The programme continues tomorrow in Farafenni, where hundreds more residents from the North Bank Region and Central River Region North are expected to benefit, with another 175 people set to receive eyewear worth over D3 million under the same initiative.
