President Adama Barrow delivered a fiery speech at a National People’s Party (NPP) rally in Sukuta, declaring that opposition leader Ousainu Darboe “will never be President in The Gambia.”
Addressing supporters, President Barrow also directed remarks at former President Yahya Jammeh, reminding him of the constitutional order. “I am the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, and you are the former president,” Barrow stated.
The President dismissed criticism from his political rivals, saying he would not be distracted by “social media rants.” He further announced that all government ministers, including the Minister of Justice as well as alkalos and chiefs, would actively participate in his campaign efforts.
The rally formed part of the NPP’s ongoing outreach across the country as political activities intensify ahead of the next electoral cycle.
