By: Modou Sarr

Pa Sainey Ceesay Chief Executive Officer at the Kanifing Municipal Council thanked the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat for donating them with some essential food items. “This is a big donation, how happy will someone be if he received such a gift.”

Fabakary Kalleh head of the external affairs of the Jamaat reminded them that as members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, we see humanity as one big family. He asked how can we love Allah and hates His creation? If truly we love Allah, it is obligatory upon all of us to also love His creation. By going this, the world will be a happy place for all mankind. He cited an example of various wars around the globe, all because they don’t love Allah’s creation. At Ahmadiyya, our motto is love for all hatred for none. Yes there are people who goes around saying we are sponsored by the British. No government has ever and will never sponsor us for our activities. Every member of the Jamaat monthly a certain amount his/her earnings to the Jamaat. This initiative is worldwide and all the funds used to be gathered in London, United Kingdom, the headquarters of the Jamaat for onward distribution to places in need. An example is the one we are witnessing today. Our motto is very clear, love for all hatred for none, he concluded.

Meanwhile, from KMC the convoy moved to the offices of the Organization for Social Development and Inclusion for Persons with Disabilities where the Jamaat donated some bags of rice, cooking oil and onions.
Yankuba Faal Sonko revealed that since the establishment of his organisation some eleven years ago, the Jamaat has been very supportive especially during Eid periods. Considering we the disabled persons during the Eid is very commendable. Disability he said does not mean inability, we must always be each other’s keepers because no one knows what tomorrow will entail.
