A Call To UDP Militants To Back Karafa Sonko

On Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, MC. Cham Jr. called on all United Democratic Party (UDP) militants and sympathisers to unite and rally behind their chosen campaign manager, Mr. Karafa Sonko. praising Mr. Sonko for his dedicated work for UDP over the years and emphasized the importance of supporting him in his role.
Mr. Cham emphasized the upcoming 2026 election and urged everyone to unite in support of the campaign manager for the upcoming elections.
He noted that unity can lead to a better Gambia, and as supporters of the UDP, they should encourage and empower Mr. Sonko to fulfill his crucial role effectively.
Furthermore, Mr. Cham expressed his belief that Mr. Sonko can perform to the best of his ability with the support from party militants and of course the masses. Adding that if this holds true, UDP will emerge victorious in the 2026 elections.
In conclusion, MC Jr stated that the party is open to all who wishes to join.
Lamenting that In 2017, he served as the campaign manager when Jammeh was defeated, leading to the UDP winning numerous seats in the national assembly and local government elections. “UDP secured victories in almost all councils, with the exception of the Kaur Area Council” he added.
