A befitting tribute: Gunjur residents praise the late MC JOJ as peacemaker

Bolong Darboe, Fondly called MC JOJ, the iconic radio host catapulted to fame while serving as a radio presenter at Jannehkoto FM, Gunjur.

As an amateur practitioner, he strived to gradually follow key radio presentation techniques under the guidance of his superiors.

The news of his demise was disclosed on Friday evening and accordingly laid to rest the same day.

In an exclusive interaction with his family and neighbors, his positive attributes were made on the lamplight.

” Bolong is always smiling; he is a friend to all,” said Kaddy Jobe, a kin listener to his entertainment program.

Youths of Fabaidaa, Yorodaa, as well as other neighborhoods, described him as a man of peace.

” He often joins us at Soosbanda to drink Pattaya while giving us advice,” Lamin Jammeh said.
Before his career as a radio presenter, MCJOJ once served as a charismatic youth leader of the National Convention Party (NCP)in the 70s before his journey to Europe.

” He was with my uncle in politics, and due to that,l am also very close to him. May his soul rest in peace” Omar Jabang stated.

Numerous fans and Gunjur residents made no iota of exaggeration concerning his virtues. There is no adjective to describe his uniqueness.

” I hope that the young people will learn from his personality” Foday Jatta asserted.

Now that Bolong is no more, the residents suggest his family needs to be supported, notably the younger children.
