Josh Young has watched the Democratic Party chase the center for years, and he’s done waiting. The 48-year-old small business owner cast his primary vote for Abdul El-Sayed, betting that progressive politics can finally break through.
“We as Democrats have been putting out these centrist candidates for a long time with very little success,” he said. “I’m very hopeful that that tide is shifting.”
