Personnel of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) undergoing Internal Security Operations training have received a series of comprehensive lectures and practical sessions aimed at enhancing their operational effectiveness and overall wellbeing.
The training, held on Wednesday, 25 March 2026, focused on critical areas including Combat Casualty Care, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and stress management. The sessions were facilitated by Captain Dr. Kani Touray, who provided both theoretical knowledge and hands-on guidance to participants.
In a related development, the Chief Instructor at the GAF Training School, Captain Saikou Jarju, delivered lectures on Leadership and Accountability, Cordon Operations, and Vehicle Checkpoint procedures within the framework of Internal Security Operations.
The initiative is meant to strengthen capacity through targeted training programmes designed to enhance professionalism, efficiency, and operational readiness within the Armed Forces.
