Invincibility derails: Notorious Hit- Man Sana Manjang subdues to captures

The Gambian government has confirmed that Sanna Manjang, a former member of the notorious Junglers, will be repatriated to The Gambia following his arrest in southern Senegal.

Manjang, who has been a fugitive since January 2017, was apprehended in the Casamance region in a joint security operation by Gambian and Senegalese authorities.

He was named by the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC) for his alleged involvement in torture, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings under former President Yahya Jammeh.

In a statement, the government said arrangements are underway for his transfer to Banjul, where he will face legal proceedings in accordance with the law.

Officials described the repatriation as a “significant step” in ensuring justice for victims of human rights abuses.

The government also praised Senegal for its cooperation and solidarity in regional security and justice matters.

Authorities assured the public that the process will be transparent and that the country’s stability and security will remain safeguarded.
