FEGAMY Participates in the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

The Federation of Gambia Muslim Youth (FEGAMY) took part in the commemoration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

The event, organised by the Drug Law Enforcement Agency, The Gambia (DLEAG), aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

This aligned with FEGAMY’s agenda to combat drug abuse among young people, as this was the theme for the FEGAMY International Conference in 2024.

FEGAMY representatives, including Fanta Sowe, Musa K. Janko, Sainey B. Badjie, Anna Sanyang, and Abbie Jallow, joined stakeholders, partners, and government officials in reaffirming their commitment to creating a society free from drug abuse.

Speakers at the event included the Director General of DLEAG, Mr Demba Ceesay and the Chairman of the GLEAG Board, Dr. Samba Faal.
