Today, the government of The Gambia, through the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs (MoFEA), commenced training on the Government’s Debt Sustainability Analysis (DSA) spearheaded by MoFEA’s Directorate of Loans and Debt Management (DLDM).
The eight (8) days’ training Workshop aims to assess the Government’s capacity to meet its Debt obligations and finance its development aspirations sustainably over the long term.
The Workshop is in collaboration with the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM) and funded by the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) under the African Development Bank (AfDB).
Participants include stakeholders from the Department of Loans and Debt Management, Accountant General’s Department, Central Bank of The Gambia, Gambia Revenue Authority, and Gambia Bureau of Statistics.
