Saffiatou Joof shares her delight in the national dialogue among different political parties.
Writing on her Facebook platform, Saffiatou stated that.
Today marks an important day in our Democratic space. I thank the President of the Republic of the Gambia for this dynamic leadership quality that he has showcased. He has set the bar higher.
This approach shows that everything is possible if we unite as a nation. We were listening to different political parties discussing their concern and making vital statements that are paramount to the development of our country. It’s something quite impressive from our President. As a member of the Preparatory Committee, I feel humble and delighted to witness these historic moments. I cherish and honor our groundbreaking team and members of the Preparatory Committee for their excellent work.
I couldn’t be more proud after seeing the energy and maturity displayed by the different political parties in this country; it is just classic and huge for us, the younger ones, to emulate them. If the government of the Gambia pays attention to our outcry, many issues could be resolved and sorted.
Dialogue is funder-mental, and we urge and encourage the government of the Gambia to implement the key areas discussed. May Allah grant us the heart and strength to continue our quest for a better Gambia. When we were on duty, we responded extraordinarily.
