The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) Kanifing Municipality Command, led by Commissioner Omar Fofana, held a community outreach engagement with the community of Fajikunda.

The outreach aimed at strengthening community-security relations and raising awareness on migration issues and community safety, among other related matters.

During the engagement, officers sensitized the community on the importance of proper documentation, regularization of residence status, and the role of the community in supporting national security.

In the interactive session, community members raised questions and concerns relating to attestation, issuance of ID cards, residence permits, and procedures for reporting suspicious activities.

Commissioner Omar Fofana responded to all questions raised by the community, providing clear explanations on immigration procedures and reaffirming GIDโ€™s commitment to serve the public with professionalism and transparency. He further urged the community to continue cooperating with security forces to ensure peace within Kanifing Municipality.
