Abdou Mboob, a key player for the Gambia Under-17 national team, scored a spectacular goal to give the school team a 1-0 lead. Mboob was assisted by Kajally Marena, who plays for the Gambia Under-15 national team. Their seamless connection and youthful energy were evident, setting the stage for a thrilling contest.
However, the ex-student team responded quickly. Abdullah Sallah equalized for the ex-students, bringing the game to a 1-1 draw as the first half ended. It was clear that both teams were highly motivated and determined to win.
