Uplifting the challenges of rural women: Refela Inaugurates Jarra Tonyatabaa Borehole

Refela is working the talk ,Yesterday was the celebration of the Inauguration of the Jarra Tonyatabaa Borehole. It was celebrated in grand style with the community and residents from nearby villages.

The residents expressed the importance of clean potable water which is one of REFELA’s priorities and part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to Mayor Rohey Malick Lowe,this resonated very well with the community while expressing happiness and says  women are now becoming steadfast on the emphasis of empowerment.

She thanked  her partners and friends who believe in the empowerment of women and the REFELA initiative.

“Our partners are more than committed to bring water to the door step of every women’s garden through our water for women initiative.

As key stakeholders for economic growth, this will enable the beneficiaries to gain financial independence and achieve greater impact on community development.” She said
