UNDP Supports MoTIE with Essential Office Equipment

Ms. Mandisa Mashologu, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), officially hand over laptops and printers to Hon. Baboucarr O. Joof, the Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration, and Employment. This impactful presentation recently at  the Ministry’s conference hall, symbolizing a strong partnership aimed at advancing national development.

Minister Joof expressed profound gratitude for the UNDP’s continued support, particularly in the crucial areas of policy reform and the Shanghai Initiative in Chamen, which he encouraged expanding for greater community benefits.

Mr. Omar Badjie, Director of Industry, Investment, and SMEs at MoTIE, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the successful collaboration that has benefitted nearly 5,000 businesses and associations, particularly women, youth, and vulnerable groups across The Gambia.

Ms. Mashologu also reiterated the key role of MoTIE in UNDP’s mission and shared exciting insights into their upcoming programmes focused on green growth, environmental resilience, and sustainable development.
