UDP’s Njie Welcomes Oppositions ‘Tri-Vergence Accord’

United Democratic Party’s Karamo Njie has hailed the ‘Tri-Vergence Accord’ signed by various opposition parties in the country, highlighting its significance in the succes of the oppositions in the upcoming presidential election.

In an exclusive discussion with The Voice, the UDP’s North Bank Region Public Relations Officer urged opposition supporters to embrace the agreement, stressing that a united opposition against the incumbent is surely an opportunity to unseat the president. He advised against personal attacks within the opposition circle, especially its leadership, warning that it will deter the progressive and broader aim of the agreement signed.

“This agreement between the opposition parties is very timely, and it serves as a key pillar to achieving our success against President Adama Barrow. As supporters, we must put our differences aside now and work hand in gloves with fellow opposition members for the greater good of the mission,” he emphasizes.

Njie reiterated that people who do not want to see the success of oppositions will try to bring division amongst partners in the agreement, advising opposition militants to maintain their firm footings against such rhetoric. He added that if there ever existed a time for opposition unity, this is one of the greatest moments to embrace for success.

Calling on the UDP supporters to follow the footsteps of Ousainu Darboe, describing him as a beacon of light, he urged party sympathisers to respect the accord of their party leader and refrain from personal political fights, especially on the social media, stating it could geopadise the standard morals of the agreement.
